As organizations increasingly rely on OneDrive for critical business operations, it is essential to shift from a mindset of passive cloud reliance to active resilience. “Sheep dipping” is a proactive cybersecurity practice that involves scanning and sanitizing removable media devices, such as USB drives and portable hard disks, on an isolated workstation before they are allowed to connect to internal production systems. By treating these devices with the same caution used to quarantine livestock, hence the term’s agricultural origin, organizations can effectively block malware that might otherwise bypass traditional defenses like firewalls.

Every IT leader should be able to answer one question without a second thought:
“If our systems went down right now, how long would it take us to get back to work?”
We aren’t just talking about finding a few lost files or checking if a backup job finished. It’s about whether you could actually restore your apps, databases, and settings fast enough to keep the business running.
For a lot of companies, that answer is a bit of a guess.
